Athletics Australia has been successful in its application to IPC for International Classification to take place at the 2018 Vic Open and Para Track Championships. As the process of International Classification can be time consuming, we encourage all applicants wishing to be Internationally Classified to begin the process as soon as possible.
We expect the International Classification details will be as follows:
Classification Dates: Tuesday, 27th of February - Thursday, 1st of March 2018
Event Location: Lakeside Stadium - Aughtie Drive , Albert Park VIC
Event Dates: Friday, 2nd of March - Sunday, 4th of March 2018
Event Registration: Closes - Sunday, February 18th 2018 11:58 PM
All athletes presenting for International Classification must enter at least one event relevant to that which they are seeking classification for (Track or Field).

Please be aware that as of the 01/11/2017 the IPC have issued a new PI Medical Diagnostics Form to be completed for any athletes attending International Classification in the future (2018 onwards). The link above contains the updated document required - to be filled out electronically by a GP.

*All athletes must present for International Classification with an 'Athlete Representative' (ideally this would be the athletes personal coach).
*Athletes with an Intellectual Impairment must compete in the event they wish to be classified for - Shot put or Long Jump (Intellectually Impaired athletes wishing to be classified in Track can compete in either the 400 or 1500 metres).
* Please note that there will be no opportunity for International Classification for athletes with a Visual Impairment at this event.
