Australian athletics boasts some of the world’s very best walkers and emerging stars of the discipline; trust that they’ll form a strong combination for the World Race Walking Cup in May.
In 2008, the World Race Walking Cup will be held in Cheboksary, Russia.
At this stage, the timetable is:
Saturday, May 10, 2008
11am Junior men 10km
12pm Junior women 10km
1pm Senior men 20km
Sunday, May 11, 2008
8am Senior men 50km
1pm Senior women 20km
In 2006, in La Coruna, Nathan Deakes, Luke Adams and Jared Tallent won Australia’s first ever team medal at the meet - a silver.
