The Federal Minister for Sport, the Hon Kate Ellis today announced five new board appointments for the Australian Sport Commission (ASC), including indigenous hurdling great Kyle Vander Kuyp, as part of a broader directions paper looking at the future of sport in this country.
The four other appointees include 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games gold medallist rower Kate Allen (nee Slater), Seoul Olympic hockey gold medallist Sally Carbon, former Australian netballer and champion of women’s sport Liz Ellis, and National Rugby League CEO David Gallop.
