Athletics Australia conducts AGM

The 23rd Annual General Meeting of Athletics Australia was held at the Lexus Centre, Melbourne on Tuesday, November 20, 2007.

The key outcomes from the AGM were as follows:
 
- The presentation of Athletics Australia's Annual Report for the year ended June 30, 2007 was presented. It is available for download here

- The appointment of Bronwyn Thompson to the board was ratified by the members

- The following retiring directors were re-elected unopposed:

· Robin ‘Rob’ Fildes (president)
· Jane Hansen
· Edward ‘Eddie’ McGuire
· Michael Smellie

- The Special Awards Committee recommended that the Athletics Australia Merit Award be abolished and that Life Membership be separated into two categories. A detailed report will be presented to the board.
