Daniel had a strong 2006. After finishing second over 200m at
the Telstra Selection Trials in Sydney, he made the semi-finals at
the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He was also lead-off runner in
the 4x100m team that failed to finish in the final after missing
the last baton changeover.
After competing well on the European circuit, Daniel made the IAAF
Grand Prix final in Stuttgart where he finished eighth. He ran in
both relay teams at the World Cup in Athens.
