Returning home for the 2006 Commonwealth Games Trials, he jumped a personal best to win and gain selection for his first senior international team.  His form continued into the Games where he leapt 8.10m to take home the bronze medal.

Following the 2006 Commonwealth Games, he jetted off to Europe.  The campaign was successful as he produced a personal best of 8.19m in Nuoro, Italy.  His bumper 2006 concluded when he was selected in the Oceania team for the World Cup in Athens, where he placed eighth.

2007 was a quiet time for Fabrice, before a return to form in 2008.  Competing on the Gold Coast, he jumped 8.10m before boarding a flight to compete in Europe.  Victory came in Ireland, where he defeated Olympic finalist James Beckford of Jamaica and a second place 8.06m in Greece continued his run of good form.
