Sporting Career
Hamish has been participating in athletics since the age of 8 with much success in three of the throws - javelin, discus and shot put. He represented Australia at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava, winning a silver medal.
In 2008, Hamish threw a PB in his favoured Javelin throw at the Melbourne Grand Prix (71.36m). He would then make his debut at the Open National Championships in Brisbane, after making it through the qualifying round (69.53m), Hamish would throw 70.19m and finish a credible 10th (7th Australian).
The young Tasmanian continues to develop and will be the sole representative from his state at the World Junior Championships.
