Melissa competed in the 100m at the 2012 London Olympic Games and in the women's 4x100m relay at the 2011 IAAF world championships. Melissa was also selected to run the women's 100m and 200m at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow. She finished in 27th overall in the 100m after finishing 5th in her heat (11.47) and 39th in the 200m (23.95).
