
The Coaching Advisory Committee will be appointed by the Athletics
Australia Board of Management and chaired by Board member Nick
Moore. Nominations will be called for and members appointed
for the period January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012. Members
who are unable to fulfill the complete term can advise the Board of
their desire to vacate the committee. The Board may make subsequent
appointment/s in the event of vacancies being available.
Members will comprise, though are not restricted to, a cross
section of current and/or past coaches and coach educators, who are
willingly prepared to give of their experience, knowledge and
contacts in support of the Athletics Coach Accreditation
Framework.
The Coaching Advisory Committee will represent the diverse nature
of athletics coaching and the current environment within which the
sport operates, with individual members representing strength of
knowledge and application. The Australian Track & Field Coaches
Association and Little Athletics Australia will be invited to
nomnate a representative from their organisations to sit on the
Advisory Committee.
A minimum of four and a maximum of 10 people will be appointed to
the Advisory Committee. In addition, the Athletics Australia
Athletes Commission and the ASC – Coaching and Officiating Unit
will be invited to be represented on the committee.
The Athletics Australia National Coaching Manager will be
responsible for establishing the meeting schedule and coordinating
the presentation of topics and materials for consideration or
review.
