Mitch Kealey and Lisa Corrigan have taken out their respective titles in the Bank of Queensland 1500m Classic last night.
The National Series Meet held at the University of Queensland Athletics Centre, saw 20-year old Mitch Kealey, the reigning Queensland 1500m champion, take the win ahead of Martin Dent and Mark Abercromby.
Lisa Corrigan from Sydney, the 2006 Commonwealth Games 1500m finalist, can now add the ABN Amro Morgans Women’s 1500m win to her growing 2006 title list. After wins at the Canberra Time 10km, Bathurst Fun Run and Gold Coast 10km this year, the twenty-one year old displays good form leading into the Asics 5km Bolt in Noosa this weekend.
