IAU 1OOkm World Challenge Review

A total of 319 runners (256 men and 63 women) contested the 2006 IAU 100km World Challenge last Sunday.

Held in Misari, Korea on 8 October 2006, the runners competed at the same venue used for the rowing competition in the Seoul Olympics.

In the team events (first three to finish) the Australian men finished in sixth place and the women in seventh position.

Personal bests were achieved by Jonathan Blake, Darren Benson, Viviene Kartsounis and Julie Hooper-Childs.

The placings were as follows:
