Athletics Australia is proud to present the 2009/10 Athlete of the Year Awards, to be held in Perth following the 2&5 88th Australian Athletics Championships & Commonwealth Games Selection Trials from April 16-18.

Providing the ideal opportunity for the athletics fraternity to celebrate a stellar domestic season and a new era of success following our nation's best ever result at the 2009 Berlin World Championships, this annual occasion will bring together members of the Australian Flame, athletics officials, staff and supporters alike.

Headlined by the crowning of the 2009/10 Athletes of the Year, the event celebrates and showcases Australia's many talented track and field stars as we look ahead to a massive 2010 which will see your Australian Flame travelling to the sub-continent for the New Delhi Commonwealth Games.

Details of the event are as follows:

Date: Sunday April 18, 2010

Time: 7:00pm – 11:00pm

Location: Rendezvous Observation City Hotel, Scarborough

Dress: Lounge suit

Includes: A sumptuous two-course meal accompanied by a beverage package including beer, wine and soft drink
