OLYMPICS: Mitchell to start in javelin final

The excitement of relays takes over the Olympic stadium this evening AEST, with the Team Australia set to burst of the blocks in the men’s 4x400m relay (8:35pm AEST 09.08.12)

Olympic finalist Steve Solomon (NSW) will be first to run before Ben Offereins (WA) hands the baton to Brendan Cole (ACT) and John Steffensen (NSW).

Competing in the women’s javelin final (6:00am AEST 10.08.12) is Kathryn Mitchell (Vic), who earlier this year set a new personal best of 64.34m to stake her claim for Olympic nomination.
