In recent years Athletics International has given over $300,000 in development grants to athletes, coaches and athletics organisations throughout Australia through the A.I. Trust. Unfortunately this grants scheme will be temporarily discontinued for 2009, but will be reviewed from time to time.
It is expected that grants will again be offered at a later date, and a further announcement will be made through Athletics Australia's website.
The $25,000 contribution to Athletics Australia's Under 19 Talent Squad will be made again in 2009.
