Selection Committee - Track and Field Terms of Reference 

The Selection Committee – Track and Field, is responsible for preparing Australian team selection criteria and selecting national teams for international track and field championships.

1. To establish selection criteria relevant to the underlying philosophy of the team to represent Athletics Australia in each international track and field competition;

2. To ensure the development of the selection criteria allows for consideration by the Athletics Australia Board in sufficient time to enable the publication and release of the criteria allowing athletes adequate time to prepare and qualify for selection;

3. To select a representative team according to the published selection criteria;

4. To review the team performance and the relevance and effectiveness of the selection criteria following the return of selected national teams.
