Wear green and gold, bring your flag and support the Aussies at the Australian Championships and selection trials for the Beijing Olympics
In training for a Little A’s event or enjoying having a go? Get some tips and warm up with Australia’s world champion - Nathan Deakes along with top athletes before the Australian Championships and selection trials on February 29 from 6:30pm.
In an exclusive opportunity, the first 150 Little Athletics participants to register will join Nathan in a fun warm-up session on the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre track then watch all the athletics action with an accompanying adult from the stands.
The session will run from 6:25pm to 6:55pm with the evening\\'s competition to kick off from 7pm.
Incorporating the Selection Trials for the 2008 Olympic Games - to be held in Beijing, China in August - Australian and international track and field stars will give their all in an exciting three days of competition.
See the flying Steve Hooker who recently jumped 6 metres, the in-form Tamsyn Lewis, new Australian record holder Scott Martin, young star Dani Samuels and many more of Australia’s best athletes in the lead-up to the biggest event on the world sporting calendar: Beijing 2008.
Be quick - places are limited
Make sure you take the opportunity to meet an Australian world champion. The good news is that those little athletes who miss out can still see all of the Australian Championships and selection trials action for free by attending in your centre uniform. Accompanying adult tickets are just $10.
