Volunteer at an iconic Melbourne event

The 2009 St.George Melbourne Marathon would not be possible without the generous support of around 850 volunteers. Melbourne Marathon are currently seeking applications from budding athletes, students of event management and sports people to assist in a variety of roles behind the scenes.

Over 20,000 competitors are expected to complete the St.George Melbourne Marathon and other related events and this is an unbeatable opportunity to see behind the scenes of not only the famous MCG, but also a major sporting event.

Sunday 11 October at the MCG*
A range of roles and shifts are required, including shifts during race week to assist with setting up on Friday and Saturday.

If you’re not up for running the marathon, this is a great opportunity for you to be involved with a major Melbourne sporting event. With your help we can make the 2009 St.George Melbourne Marathon an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!
