At home with Dani Samuels

Newly-crowned world discus champion Dani Samuels is back on home soil and has invited all of Australia into her home to share in the celebrations.

Samuels, who in August became the youngest world discus champion in history when she recorded a new personal best throw of 65.44m to take out the gold medal in Berlin, has fast risen to become one of the true stars of Australian track and field.

But the 21-year-old throws specialist hasn't forgotten where it all began and this week invited the Parramatta Advertiser into her New South Wales home to talk about life at the top.
