Shelley nominated for selection after an amazing debut over the 21.1km journey at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon in July, which saw the young Queenslander take victory in 62.41.
In 2004, Shelley won a bronze medal over 1500m at the Australian Championships, running 3.39.90. Since then he has represented Australia at World Cross Country and will now wear the green & gold in Brazil.

Shelley Selected for Rio
World Cross Country representative Michael Shelley will make his debut at the IAAF/CAIXA World Half Marathon Championships on October 12 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.Shelley nominated for selection after an amazing debut over the 21.1km journey at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon in July, which saw the young Queenslander take victory in 62.41.
