Athletics Australia to launch The Fitness Show

Following the success of athletics.com.au's free podcast Higher, Faster, Longer, Athletics Australia will launch The Fitness Show on June 4.

What is it?

The Fitness Show is a weekly 30-minute radio show that explores health, sport, fitness, psychology, lifestyle, diet, goal setting and motivation.

Even weekend warriors want to improve their fitness and performance and the show will regularly feature interviews with athletes and health professionals.

Most programs target the spectator over the participant, however, The Fitness Show will be of interest to both groups.

The average person wants to know what professional athletes go through - physically, psychologically and practically - to get where they are.

And most people want to be leaner, fitter, healthier, more informed and motivated…The Fitness Show explains all of this and lots more.

Hosted by respected exercise scientist and radio personality Craig Harper, with regular contributors including Lisa Westlake and Pat Carroll, the topics covered in The Fitness Show will include:

Drugs in sport
Overcoming injuries
Psychology in sport
Sports supplements
Preparing for your sport
High performance eating
Strength training
Strategy/tactics in sport

Sign up before June 4 to receive 10% discount on a 12-month or 6-month subscription and automatically enter the draw to win an Asics pack valued at $300.
