NATIONAL PATHWAY DISTANCE CAMP

In conjunction with the World Cross Country Trial and the Canberra Track Classic, Athletics Australia invites all U20 athletes registered to compete in the cross-country trial (and other invited athletes) to attend a short camp hosted at the AIS from 1-3rd March.

The camp is an initiative of the AA Distance Event Group and aims to provide the opportunity for pathway distance athletes and coaches to come together for some education and networking opportunities linked to both the trial and Canberra Track Classic.

The 2-day program will cost $100 per athlete and will cover accommodation and meals at the AIS, as well as travel to and from the Cross Country Trial and to training (where necessary) on Saturday and Sunday morning.

The education session will cover nutrition and recovery, anti-doping, training loads, NCAA Pathway information and elite athlete Q&A panel discussion. The education sessions will be free and open to all interested athletes, coaches and parents who live locally or are in Canberra for the Trial and Track Classic.
