BIOGRAPHY

In 2020 a 15-year-old Jaydon Page had his sights on selection for the Tokyo Paralympics. To qualify he had to make significant progress from 11.39 in December 2020 to a best of 11.10 over summer. Then aged 16, the Canberran made his international debut in Tokyo as the youngest male athlete on the athletics team. Competing in the T47 100m heat, he placed fifth, just missing a place in the final.

His next goal was the 2022 Commonwealth Games when his event appeared on the program for Birmingham. The then 17-year-old achieved a best of 11.09 and was the first athlete in his event and category offered a place for Birmingham due to his category leading time.

At the Commonwealth Games, Jaydon won his heat, then ran up to his best clocking 11.10 to win the silver medal behind England’s Emmanuel Oyinbo-Coker who set a Games record time of 10.94.

This last summer, Jaydon has been in amazing form. Smashing his PB and National record on four occasions. His record from April 2022 stood at 11.09, he ran 11.08 then 11.05 (in January 2023), followed by 10.95 at the Maurie Plant Meet and finally 10.87 at the Brisbane Track Classic in March. He would go on to be selected for the World Para Athletics Championships, here he was ran 11.08 in the T47 100m heats and 10.90 for 5th place in the final. It had been a terrific effort to run so close to his PB in a major final.

In 2024 at his second world championships, he clocked 10.98 into a head wind in the heats, going on to placed 7th in the final.

In good form domestically in 2025, he twice clocked 10.95 in the 100m including at Nationals in Perth.
