About the Role:

As Paralympic Pathways Coordinator, you’ll play a key part in shaping inclusive opportunities for para-athletes across the country.  Working closely with the Head of Para Program and Para Program Team, you’ll help coordinate national projects that nurture emerging talent, strengthen para pathways, and enhance development opportunities for both athletes and coaches.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on collaboration, is passionate about equity in sport, and is ready to make a meaningful impact.

Your core duties will include:

  • Working with the Para Performance Coaching Manager to develop a Para Pathway Program to drive the AA Para Resurgence Program.
  • Assist in the management of the provisional classification system.
  • Assist in the delivery and logistics of national and international classification events as required.
  • Collaboratively develop education resources, talent identification initiatives and pathway tools.
  • Strengthening partnerships with state and national sporting bodies, disability organisations and clubs.
  • Contributing to a culture of integrity, inclusiveness, and continuous learning within the pathways system.

We're seeking someone who: 

  • Is highly organised and confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially with community partners.
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Understands the value of inclusive participation and equitable access to sport.
  • Is excited by the chance to support athletes in realising their full potential – regardless of background or ability.

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in education, sport management, project management or other related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs, events or projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the Australian sport system, including State Sporting Organisations and Clubs.
  • Understanding of the Pathway for Paralympic athletes and classification processes, is a bonus.
  • A keen commitment to clean sport and abiding by AA’s National Integrity Framework suite of policies including the Australian National Anti-doping Policy, Safeguarding Children and Young Persons Policy, and Code of Conduct.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check and (or ability to hold) Police Check.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Growth and Development department, with the role focussing on administration of coach education and coach development and the servicing of more than 5,500 Australian Athletics Accredited Coaches. This includes day to day management of the national accredited coach database, administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), creation and maintenance of course content within the LMS, preparation of report data, administration of the coach accreditation framework, and completing forward facing customer service tasks.

Your core duties will include:

  • Lead the customer service function for coach education, responding to enquiries relating to accreditation, membership and course pathway.
  • Support the operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of digital systems underpinning coach education delivery.
  • Act as primary liaison with Member Associations on coach education matters.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the coach accreditation and membership database within RevolutioniseSPORT.

What we are looking for:

You will have a passion for coaching & development and have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. You will have advanced skills in data-based management, and an understanding of workforce education and development.

The ability to manage multiple and competing tasks, along with adapting to a changing environment whilst delivering deadlines. Experience with developing content and administering programs, along with an attention to detail.

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in sport management, project management or other related fields.
  • A demonstrated understanding of workforce education and development.
  • Exceptional project management, coordination, and planning skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced skills in database management, administration of Learning Management Systems, MS Office, and other sport specific digital programs.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service.
  • A keen commitment to clean sport and abiding by AA’s National Integrity Framework suite of policies including the Australian National Anti-doping Policy, Safeguarding Children and Young Persons Policy, and Code of Conduct.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check and (or ability to hold) Police Check.
