Australian Athletics acknowledges the outcome of the Sport Integrity Australia investigation regarding Amanda (Mandy) Mason and confirms that a three-year suspension has been imposed for the presence and use of a prohibited substance.

The decision follows an In-Competition doping control test conducted on 13 April 2024, which returned an Adverse Analytical Finding for LGD-4033 (Ligandrol), a non-specified anabolic agent prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Code.

Ms Mason has accepted the sanction, resulting in a one-year reduction in her suspension in line with the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy.

Australian Athletics remains committed to upholding the integrity of our sport and maintaining a clean and fair playing field for all participants. We continue to work closely with Sport Integrity Australia to ensure that anti-doping policies are enforced and respected throughout the Australian athletics community.

The period of ineligibility for Ms Mason commenced on 13 June 2024 and will conclude on 13 June 2027.
