Biography

As a junior Brad Milosevic ran distance on the track, on the road and in cross country, but it would be the latter disciplines that he would specialise in. He was a regular placegetter in the NSW Cross Country Championships, winning the 2014 short course title and the recently the full course cross country at Nowra. He also won the state 5000m on the track.

He started to dabble with longer distances on the road and in 2014 won the national half marathon, the Oceania half marathon on the Gold Coast and was second in the City to Surf.

In Japan in 2015, he made his marathon debut but failed to finish due to a niggling injury. He was back on track on the road in August, winning the City to Surf. Two months later in his second attempt at the gruelling 26-mile event, he won the Melbourne Marathon. The time of 2:16:00 was a Rio Olympic qualifier.

He competed in the Hamburg Marathon in April 2016, clocking 2:19.33, but narrowly missed selection for the Rio Olympics.

In April 2017, he returned to Hamburg, where he placed ninth in a time of 2:16.24 and shortly after was named in the Australian team for the IAAF world championships in London.
