ABOUT

The Australian Cross Country Championships are proudly supported by the Victorian Government and City of Ballarat. With race opportunities from ages Under 11 - 70+, there's an opportunity for everyone to compete at this weekend festival of running. This event will also include the UniSport Australia Championships.

Please note: Orders that do not include a personalised hoodie will be dispatched within 2–3 days. Orders requiring a personalised name on the hoodie will require an additional week for production before dispatch.

Australian Athletics Mixed Relays

DO MORE - Are you a mum, dad, friend or supporter of an athlete? There's an opportunity for you too! Put a team together for our Mixed Relays on Sunday. 

Golden 5km

Join us at The Golden 5km and mix up your Saturday morning run on the undulating grass terrain of the official Australian Cross Country Championships course, prior to the action kicking off later in the day. 

All abilities and paces are welcome to enter, grab your family and friends for a fun 5km at Victoria Park, Ballarat.  It's a perfect way for the cheer squad to get their run in.

SPECTATORS

The event is free for spectators, coaches, friends and family to attend! Check out the activation zone; with Chemist Warehouse giveaways, PUMA on site for wear-testing, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks, get your event merch and follow the action on course live on the big screen!

The Australian Cross Country Championships are one of six meets part of the Chemist Warehouse Winter Series.

Athlete Information

Close of Entries: Entries close for all athletes on 4 August 2026 at 12:00noon. Please note that entries will close within each state earlier than 4 August, and athletes must follow the deadlines put in place by each state.

Age Groups: U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18, U20, Open (incl. U23) - Men and Women, Masters Men and Women.

Australian Entries: All Australian Entries are via State Senior Athletics Associations. Please contact them for any questions.
