Lakeside Stadium will host global superstars and homegrown heroes at the Maurie Plant Meet – Melbourne; Australia’s premier one-day athletics meeting and Oceania's only World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meet.

The 2026 Maurie Plant Meet will include non-Gold events in the program so athletes must not assume all events carry Gold status.
Lakeside Stadium track surfaced by: 
Athletes will be contacted directly with invitations to compete. Athletes will be assessed based on World, Australian and State rankings, with invitations to be sent out to successful athletes to confirm entry.

Prize Money
The prize money will be published here when available:
Australian Athletics will contact prize money winners via email. No money will be paid on event day.
Please note Australian Athletics will wait until clearance of the doping control tests before paying any prize money for the event.
Athletes are required to be current financial members of their own AA Member Association and/or World Athletics Member Federation. Any athlete who does not meet this requirement on the day of the competition will not be entitled to any prize money and may forfeit acknowledgement of their performance including any ranking and/or placing points.
Athlete Hotels

For AA serviced athletes, you will be provided with two nights’ accommodation and breakfast at the hotel.
