The World Athletics Championships will be held in Beijing, China from 10-19 September, 2027.
The championships will be held in the National Stadium, the venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and the 2015 World Athletics Championships.

Any athlete requiring an exemption from competing at the National Championships should complete the form for the consideration of the Chair of Selectors.
Selection Policy Information Session
The Australian Athletics Chair of Selectors, Peter Hamilton, is hosting an information session to discuss the selection policy for this team on Tuesday, 10 November, 2026 at 8:00pm AEDT.
You can RSVP for the session via the link below. This will close 24 hours before the meeting. You will receive a link to the email address you provide in the hours leading up to the meeting.
If you have any questions about the policy, please submit them via the RSVP form, at least 24 hours before the session. There will be no capacity to ask questions during the session. The Chair of Selectors is the only person who may address questions related to the policy.
The session will be recorded, and a copy of the presentation posted on this page.
