Two days of intense competition featuring Australia’s best young athletes, all striving for team and individual glory, concluded on Tuesday 14 April at the 2026 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships.
Athletes from across the country gathered for the annual event, held from Monday 13 to Tuesday 14 April at the State Athletics Facility (QSAC) in Brisbane.
The 2026 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships brought together U12 and U13 athletes, including Multi-Class competitors, selected by their Member Associations to represent their state in a team-based athletics competition.

While individual performances were celebrated throughout the event, the Championships continued to emphasise the importance of teamwork, with every result contributing to overall team standings and trophy success.
The ALAC Team Trophies remain the premier awards of the Championships, recognising the collective strength and performance of each state. In 2026, Team Little Athletics New South Wales and Team Little Athletics Queensland shared the honours, each securing two of the four trophies in a tightly contested competition
The winner of the Trevor Billingham Trophy – U13 Athletes and Multi-Class Athletes highest overall points score was Team New South Wales.
The winner of the Alan Triscott Trophy – U13 Athletes and U13 Multi-Class Athletes overall points adjusted score was Team Queensland.
The winner of the Maxine Boyd Trophy – U12 Athletes and U12 Multi-Class Athletes highest overall points adjusted score was Team New South Wales.
The winner of the Dick Healey – U12 Athletes and U12 Multi-Class Athletes highest overall points adjusted score was Team Queensland.
