With the influx of distance runners heading to Falls Creek over the summer months, Athletics International will once again be hosting a distance running seminar on Thursday 28th December from 2pm – 4pm in the Falls Creek Resort Management Boardroom (above Food Works supermarket).
From 2pm – 3pm there will be a Distance Running Athletes’ Panel, involving a Q & A session with some of Australia’s elite middle and long distance runners as they strive towards representing their country at the upcoming Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast next April. Runners of all levels and their parents and coaches are welcome. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from our best athletes, learn what makes them tick and pick up some training tips.
Afternoon tea will be provided, after which we will once again be holding the popular Female Athletes’ Panel. Following on from our 2016 event, we will delve further into some of the specific challenges female distance runners face. This session is open to all female athletes and their parents and coaches.
