Australian Athletics has today confirmed the dates for three marquee meets for the 2027 Chemist Warehouse Summer Series, building on the momentum of a hugely successful domestic season earlier this year.
The series will showcase Australia’s biggest athletics stars alongside international talent across three one day meets.

All three meets are classified as Bronze Meets on the World Athletics Continental Tour.
The 2027 Chemist Warehouse Summer Series will once again bring world class athletics to fans across the country, featuring many of the stars of the Commonwealth Games, whose performances in Glasgow inspired the nation.
The likes of Matt Denny, Lachie Kennedy, Nina Kennedy, Kurtis Marschall, Nicola Olyslagers, Claudia Hollingsworth, Peter Bol who were all so impressive in Glasgow, also competed in the Chemist Warehouse Summers Series this year.
Rising stars, high jumper Izobelle Louison-Roe and 800m runner Daniel Williams, who just one gold and silver respectively at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene in the United States, also competed this year with great success
The three meets will also provide a crucial platform for athletes preparing for a massive 2027 international athletics season, with the World Para Athletics Championships to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in June, followed by the World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China in September.
The venues and dates for the 2027 Australian Athletics Championships and the Australian Athletics Junior Championships will also be announced soon.
Perth has already been announced to host the 2026 Chemist Warehouse Australian Athletics All Schools Championships in December, providing the nation’s next generation of athletes with the opportunity to compete on the national stage.
The Chemist Warehouse Summer Series events announced today are made possible through the valued support of the Government of South Australia Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, the New South Wales Government Office of Sport, and the Tasmanian Government’s Events Tasmania.
“The way our domestic season is growing year after year is very exciting,” Australian Athletics Chief Executive Officer Simon Hollingsworth said.
“The Adelaide Invitational has been around a long time and is always embraced by the city, so it’s great to be back.
“We are excited to return to Sydney for the Sydney Track Classic and the new track proved very fast this year at the Australian Athletics Championships.
“We could not have been happier how the Hobart Track Classic went this year, it was immensely successful after a ten-year hiatus, and I’m sure it will be the same in 2027.
“I think it’s going to be a brilliant summer of world-class competition ahead, with more announcements to come.”
South Australia’s Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing Rhiannon Pearce said:
