Free Coach Education Masterclasses

In conjunction with the Australian Track and Field Championships, Athletics Australia will be hosting free coach education sessions covering a broad range of topics and disciplines thanks to some of Australia’s most credentialed coaches.
 
The masterclasses are open to all currently accredited coaches to attend and will be recorded for those unable to attend in-person. 

Below is a list of the masterclass schedule. 

Thursday April 15:
Pre-Competition
8:00am – 9:15am: Gary Bourne: Long Jump – Advanced Level Coach Education (NSWIS)
Post-Competition
7:30pm – 8:30pm: Adam Larcom: Sprints – Advanced Level Coach Education (NSWIS)

Friday April 16:
Pre-Competition
8:00am – 8:45am: Mike Hurst: Sprints – Drill Progression for Running Mechanics (Warm-Up Track)
Post-Competition
6:00pm – 7:15pm: Mark Stewart and Steve Rippon: Pole Vault – Approach and Plant Phase Masterclass (Warm-Up Track)

Saturday April 17:
Pre-Competition 
7:30am – 8:30am: Scott Martin: Throws – Advanced Level Coach Education (NSWIS)
8:30am – 9:30am: Gary Bourne: Plyometrics – A Safe and Effective Training Progression (NSWIS)
Mid-Competition
2:30pm – 3:30pm: Adam Didyk, Nic Bideau, Philo Saunders: Endurance Masterclass (NSWIS)

Sunday April 18: 
Post-Competition
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Hamish MacDonald: Coach the Seated Throws (NSWIS)

Coaches can register for the masterclasses they wish to attend HERE. Attendance for each session will be capped, filled on a first in best dressed basis.
