Courtesy of the partnership between Athletics Australia and the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS), we are on the hunt for candidates for a “Scholarship Coach (Seated Throws)” position through the QAS “Generational 2032” Scholarship Coach Program. This is a two-year fixed term position.

Involved in a formal and informal learning program, the Scholarship Coach will work with Athletics Australia Event Group Leads and the QLD State Performance Advisor to undertake initial talent identification activities to identify a cohort of potential athletes in collaboration with the QAS, Paralympics Australia, University partners and disability organisation and service providers.

With a passion for improving athlete performance and working in teams, you demonstrate a strong commitment to coaching as a potential career path. Your communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders is profound. You possess a growth mindset with willingness to commit to continuous improvement and ongoing training and development.

A strong understanding of high-performance sport (preferably athletics), and previous experience in sport as an athlete, sport scientist/administrator or other relevant environments will be highly regarded.
