Thanks to World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2021

Uniquely Australian brand mark created for this World event.

The official logo for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2021 has been unveiled.

In consultation with event stakeholders and advisors, it was determined that the visual identity for the event should reflect the position of the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2021, being:

  • World Cross Country the Australian way
  • Celebrating Australia’s diverse culture, landscape and lifestyle
  • The World’s best competing in the World’s toughest race. A raw and gritty experience.
  • A World-class event experience
  • The warm welcome of regional NSW.

With IAAF soon to re-brand to World Athletics, the brand mark for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2021 is built within the new World Athletics brand structure, with a unique infill of the logo wave shape, and maintaining the structural integrity of the World Athletics logo format.

The boomerang is the hero of the logo.

An iconic symbol of Australian culture has been carefully arranged within the wave shape infill to resemble the legs of a group of runners in a style that is truly unique to Australia.
