Started pole vaulting at age 14.

1966: 2.70m, first comp.

1969: 4.20m vaulting with aluminium pole on sand pit, under 19 South-American record.

1977: 4.20m at Hensley Field, Sydney NSW, Randwick Botany Harriers club record.

1978: 4.40m at Valencia, Ca, USA while at college.

2006-7: 3.65m, Australian Record 55-59 yr group (previous)

2011-12: 3.40m, Australian Record 60-64 yr group (current)

2006-2011: NSW 55 and 60 state records (both current)

Coaching Level: Level 3 Jumps, Pole Vault AAC & ATFCA

Status: Married to Llewena. Two sons, Chris and Jeff. One daughter, Sarah.

Clubs coached: Bankstown Sports Athletics Club, Randwick Botany Harriers.

Other events I coach - concurrent to pole vaulting: Long and triple jump can coach in adjacent pit. High jump. The mats are away from the pole vault set, therefore I can help but only on a limited basis.
