Watch Live

The Chemist Warehouse Australian Athletics Championships will be broadcast for 8-hours per day on 7Plus. The broadcast window is selected to include the maximum number of finals, and will be as per the schedule below. Due to the complexities of a large 9-day championship with over 3600 athletes in action and multiple events in progress at any one time, not every event will be broadcast – the best way to watch is always by attending and watching live at the stadium. However, we encourage you to also download the Roster Athletics App on the app store of your choice, where live results will be posted including round by round field event trials.

Entries
Entries have now closed for all athletes; no further entres will be accepted. Any issues or changes should be directed to your State Team Manager/s.

Seed Times
Seed times are taken from 1st Janaury 2024. Any amendments to seed times will be managed through the Technical Information Centre during the event. No changes to seed times will be accepted ahead of the Championships.

For Open and Under 20 events, seed times are those recognised internationally based on performances in world ranking competitions only. With the exception of the Men’s Open and Under 20 5000m where seeding into timed finals will take place and where seeding times will be from 1/1/23 – all other relevant seeding times will be taken from 1/1/24.

For Under 18 and below, seed times are based on those submitted by the State/Territory associations when entering the athletes.

These will be checked by the technical delegates for those events in which either heats or timed finals are required – and will be updated at confirmation time. For other events entry performances are not updated as they are not relevant for the competitions.

Timetable

  • The below link contains an excel version of the Timetable for Days 1 to 4 as at 10 April 2024. A similar version of the Timetable for Days 5 to 9 will be published by Thursday evening.
  • All times shown on the timetable are local Adelaide time.
  • Notation in red or purple type indicates a change in the event times or other details such as the site of each field event. Whilst no events have changed from one day to another, there are both minor and significant changes within individual days.
  • The asterisk (*) next to a round descriptor indicates which round, in the case of events with three rounds, will be deleted if three rounds are eventually not required after confirmations.
  • In the case of events over two rounds, where eventually after confirmations heats are not required, the final will be conducted at final time.
